In home sessions (otherwise known as lifestyle sessions) are done within the client’s home. My favorite part about these sessions is watching the family interact within the comfort of their own environment. The magic truly lies in the candid moments that unfold naturally.
Just like with any other session involving toddlers, it can be challenging to safely incorporate older siblings into your newborn lifestyle session.
It’s important to remember is to be patient with them and show them grace.
Some kids are overly eager to handle the new baby (yikes!), and other times they don’t wish to interact with the new baby at all (also yikes!) The right photographer will know how to handle these potential situations and roll with the punches. I love having the older sibling show me the new baby – in detail! Show me his nose. Show me his eyes. How many toes does baby have?!
